The second Mid-Term Meeting of the G20 Social Oceans20 (O20) Engagement Group will be held online. It is an important opportunity for experts and citizens to debate solutions towards ocean preservation. This event is the second in a series of three official meetings with the aim of presenting, selecting and consolidating civil society proposals related to the ocean. Experts will analyze recent advances, propose solutions, and explore new avenues of collaboration leading up to the O20 Summit in September and the G20 Summit in November, both in Rio de Janeiro. Key O20 recommendations will also be presented at the July 1 conference. These are the results of discussions by global institutions committed to the oceans agenda and the perspectives offered by Oceans Dialogues, a series of events promoted by citizens.
