In July 2020, the National Ocean Protection Coalition (NOPC) brought on López-Wagner Strategies and ALRAS Digital as strategic consultants to analyze existing organizational procedures and structures at the coalition, understand leadership and member dynamics that contribute to short- and long-term efforts to establish Marine Protected Areas, and offer an informed set of recommendations to elevate efforts and achievements of the coalition with a focus on inclusion. This report is the final product in a four-month effort that took into consideration the National Ocean Protection Coalition's history, its Leadership Team, the perspectives and priorities of coalition members, and lessons learned from outside the coalition.
