UNGA is the principal deliberative and decision-making body of the United Nations, and each session provides an important opportunity for Member States to collaborate, deliberate, and adopt resolutions across a wide range of global issues, including health, sustainable development, and human rights. The 81st session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 81) will open on Tuesday, 8 September 2026. The first day of the high-level General Debate will be Tuesday, 22 September 2026.
